No, I don't trust him at all. He's failed me a few times

lundkvist = chiarot + mid pick
kravtsov = lehkonen + mid pick
nemeth = 2nd

nyr is overpaying

NYR are essentially admitting to their fanbase that they've failed miserably at drafting/development over the last 5 years.

"The 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship will be played this summer after it was postponed in December due to COVID-19 issues." -NHL.com

Looks like August. Not sure if this was already posted, but this sounds like a nice idea.

I have a horrible feeling that the sabres are going to get hot and burn there way out of a top 5 draft selection...maybe another pick at 9/10. Be above MTL, ARI, NJD, SEA, PHI, OTT, NYI, CHI, and CBJ... Maybe SJS or DET as well depending.

I feel the same way about the Devils. But then I look at their goaltending and I relax.

Problem is that Anderson is good and could allow us to win games and if UPL or Tokarski get wins...

Anaheim makes sense as they can use him and got the cap space for his deal, Washington to as their PP needs work and hes a PP specialist and with Mantha on LTIR I believe they can make the cap work this season, Pittsburgh makes no sense as Hoffman with the puck great, away from it is a Sullivan Benching Special. Unless its Hoffman for Zucker doubt they do it (Zucker has been meh and they probs gonna move him)

Agree, but market value has skyrocketed

How? setting the market is not equal to the market and all trades are an agreement between GM's, not this is the market so here's what you pay

Hughes REALLY likes lehkonen he's not gonna be traded without overpay, meaning it starts with a 1st round pick

Yeah, and most GM's laugh when the ask starts at a 1st, we saw the same thing with Toffoli, everyone was conditioned to think overpayment that they thought the deal was bad for us because they didn't overpay

I don't see any of the teams currently ahead of BUF finishing lower than them in the standings. However, MTL, ARI, SEA, and NJD will probably finish lower. If I had to guess, I'd say BUF finishes 26th, 27th or 28th, depending on what PHI and OTT do. At best, they're probably looking at the 5th worst record, imo.

Makes sense to also have Dermott play as they need to showcase him and try to get his numbers up for the deadline as hes also probs on his way out.

Kind of glad for this claim as Spezza needs to be moved back to RW as we have seen he is more comfortable there.

But then again if we do waive him (Like the caps did with that guy claimed from Buffalo then brought back) that also works as since we were the only team to claim Brooks he should easily go to the Marlies should he be waived tomorrow.

Looks like they saw suggestion C and went for it lul

Probs gonna clear as rn he is on IR and we were the only team to claim him yesterday. Plus its very similar to the Axel Jonsson-Fjällby situation so most likely Marlies for Friday then Liligren comes up for Saturday.

I am just curious, how would a non-Oilers compare Bouchard to Dobson and Boqvist. here is their stats for this season.

Boqvist: 34gp, 9g, 8a, and -11
Dobson: 41gp, 7g, 13a, and -1
Bouchard: 47gp, 9g, 17a, and +3

while Bouchard has been on the top pair pretty must since of the start of the season and Dobson plays for Trotz so he is probably playing under one of Greene or Chara, idk about Boqvist tho

Bouchard averages 21:14mins
Dobson averages 21:09mins
Boqvist averages 17:04mins

So the fact Boqvist is doing pretty good with that amount of ice time is impressive.

Bouchard has been the best and is the only one of the 3 who isn't sheltered to a 60/40 ozone/Dzone split.

I guess Bouchard is the best out of those three. How does he play. Is he a good two way guy. Or like mother f in John Carlson

Also mid winter break starts after school today

Bouchard's Defensive game has come a long way since he was drafted, he is a regular PK'er now

This whole Bouchard exercise @oilersguy got me thinking, what would his stats be if like Makar and Hughes he got 65% offensive zone starts (that's 15% more than he has now). And #1 PP time....
