Just don't seeing the Leafs flipping their team like that realistically, Dubas said he doesn't want to trade this year's 1st as well. Could definitely get more for Boeser.

3 contracts that the Leafs don't want? .. who? There's 1, arguably 0. The only rough one is Ritchie but he won't cost a lot to move because he's easily a buy out candidate in the summer. The rest are great contracts. There's really no bad contracts on the team.

I'm pretty sure you just called a guy who's on pace for 60 even strength points this season at 3.5 mil a year a cap dump. He'd be 3rd in scoring on the Canucks this season.

Do you think Boeser could be had for that? Isles should be all over it

That may be, but the Canucks haven't set the bar very high this year. Miller (78.49) and Pearson (73.67) are much better than the players they would be replacing,
The numbers in brackets are the ratings from Corsica Hockey. The Leaf roster players rate in order from high to low Ritchie (71.82), Dermott (71.68), Kerfoot (70.82) and Kampf (68.76).
The 2 Canuck players have 23 goals and 42 assists combined and they are on a poor team.
The 4 Leaf players have 14 goals and 44 assists on a supposedly good team. How many more points do you think Miller and Pearson would produce on a better? team?
The price of the upgrade is high but so is the quality of the players. Costs money to make money.

Absolutely not. These trades are all pretty bad. We’d want Dobson back which clearly will not happen

I'd love to trade for Dobson but he is an untouchable.
So knowing that the lsles want more scoring and the Canucks want more defense I went with the option available that can help in the present and a real good prospect for the future.
I'm not sure what Mayfield's value is but I know that he is a bargain at $1.45MM and would give the Canucks some cap relief while filling one of their needs. To improve the PK you need defensive, physical, shot blockers.
If Allvin can squeeze more out of Lou great.

Zetterlund is a savvy pick-up. Added 20-25 lbs in off-season....and been a different player this year. Very good on both sides of the ice.
