Philly, Seattle and Carolina all decline. All 3 trades heavily favor Toronto And Seattle isn't eating $2,300,000 on Jamie Oleksiak for the next 4 years either. Teams are retaining at 50% and giving up 1st round picks for a bunch of meh pieces. Don't think so.

If it's possible to be a cup contender and rebuilding at the same time, i think we've accomplished this. Imagine giving Leivo the ice time he deserves 20+ mins a night on the top line.

Throw in a 6th, and you got a deal. JVR top PP minutes alongside JV, unreal... Also gives us some cap flexibility to pursue Jeff Skinner & Kyle Okposo.
