If you don't think thats an upgrade, I dunno what to tell ya.
Holl ain't cutting it. You could argue Liljegren > Schenn, but its more consideration of his playoff style/attractive term.

If you're trading two top prospects, a good decently young top 6 winger, AND a first when trying to bolster defense, would you not just look to Chychrun? Thats a terrible trade for Toronto.

The two prospects and Kerfoot get you Miller. That trade is about Miller with retention and Schenn as the secondary piece.
You could look at Chychrun, but I don't see how he fits tbh. Who plays right side?

Its an overpay, sure. But you either decide to go all in or you don't. These trades aren't happening for less/much less.

I'm very curious to see who agrees with you on that, because I sure don't

Mayfield is better than Holl, come on. Schenn is a different style D and more what the Leafs need. A big, physical D in front of the net. Holl is useless in don't of his net. Big for nothing Holl is.

Do you watch any Leaf games or just the three EDM games where Holl gets credit for singlehandedly shutting down McDavid... ignoring the 10 points McDavid got in the remaining games? Holl boxes out his own goalie more than he does opponents. He's trash, dude.

Schenn was solid with Tampa, solid in VAN, andbhe actually uses his size, unlike Holl. Holl is ****, Schenn is a solid enough 3rd pair guy for cheap.

He was a middling hyper sheltered 6th defender in tampa and he has not been great in Vancouver either, dude has basically been dragged around by hughes.
Holl is significantly better. Like its not even close
