Might not be the worst time to blow it up. They are already into playoffs.

Marchand makes too much for too long, Can't see Colorado with a $6,125,000 Marchand plus give $12,000,000 to MacKinnon in the summer of 2023.

Marchand is a legit star player, but I don't think Sakic will want to give up that haul of futures for a 33 year old on a contract until he's 37. Not to mention that this would leave the Avs without a long-term 2C.

Bergeron is a great player to have, for sure. He has everything (well, except term on his deal). But we already have a similar player in Eriksson Ek, so if two 1st round picks - or less - get you Pavelski, for example, I'd rather take him.

I wouldn't trade Bergeron if I was the Bruins, though. He's a franchise icon and all that.

MacKinnon will not sign that. He already said he would sign a team friendly dead to stay there

He's still in the $10,000,000 to $11,000,000 range, A player of his caliber isn't taking less.

LMAO I'm not sure what's more of a egregious comment:

Marchand makes too much

or

Eriksson Ek is similar to Bergeron

No interest in rat boy from the Avs, especially not at that price.

As good Patrice B is, our gm has no interest in parting with 1st round pick or top prospects for rentals

This isn't NHL22... teams don't trade their franchise players for young studs just to make a quick turnaround. Fanbases will prefer to suffer losing for years, as long as their favorite superstars finish their career on their team.
