I'm sure the Rangers and Drury did a lot of self-evaluation over the All-Star break, and it doesn't take an NHL GM to recognize that on the current Rangers roster there is a Vezina favorite goalie. Norris quality D man and Rocket Richard contending forward. This is the last year the team will have cap flexibility for the foreseeable future, as Mika/Fox contracts kick in next season. The NYR will have $35M of TDL cap. I understand that the team has 5v5 issues and young players that might hold them back, but it would be a disservice to the players and fans to not make multiple moves at the deadline. It must be understood that all of the young players and prospects the Rangers have do not have spots on the roster in the future, and now is the time to capitalize on our prospect wealth and cap situation and make a cup run this season.
