Colin Miller will most definitely be moving at this deadline, but I personally can't understand why people are proposing these type of returns. Miller, while he produces at an OK rate for a 3rd pairing dman is absolutely horrific in every other aspect of the game. I don't think he gives TOR what they need. At least IMO you guys should be looking for someone steady to tighten things up and Miller is DEFINITELY not that guy.

EDIT: I'd actually argue that Holl is a better than Miller in most aspects of the game aside from Miller's ability on the PP.

Aside from the Copp trade, (which I like), this all seems pretty lateral to me. Maybe even trending down instead of up.

It'd be nice to get rid of Ritchie and his dead money but, I don't want that junk in return. I'd rather just attach an asset and move him for a very low round draft pick. Something like... Ritchie + 3rd for a 7th. Just get it right off the books.

Just my two cents.

Van declines. Dermott doesn’t do enough for them, and their not in the position to be giving away a 4th for a 7th for no reason. Schenn is cheap and is a good fit at the moment, not going to trade him unless it’s worthwhile

Agreed. I do think Miller could be effective for the leafs as a rental but it wouldn't be worth it to give up another RHD who is under contract for next year.
