Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
VAN
  1. Ritchie, Nick
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
This trade works for both sides, Ritchie might not be a total bust and could still be a good middle 6 player if he's on the right team. The 2nd is for his salary because it doesn't look too good right now. Getting Schenn and Motte help with the depth of the team for the next couple seasons.
2.
TOR
  1. Turris, Kyle ($650,000 retained)
  2. 2022 5th round pick (EDM)
EDM
  1. Holl, Justin
Additional Details:
I don't see Holl having a roster spot next season because Liljegren and Sandin are on both expiring RFA deals. We could of got more in the trade for Turris which helps our bottom 6 and could be very good playoff depth. EDM also retains 650,000$ of his salary which is only for the 1 year. So if we taxi sqaud Turris until the playoffs it won't touch our cap.
3.
TOR
  1. 2023 5th round pick (OTT)
OTT
  1. Mrázek, Petr
Additional Details:
Sending Mrazek who's a cap dump, he's having a bad season but could bounce back. And for a cheap price of a very good backup goalie, and he's proved to be a starter with DET and CAR.
4.
DAL
  1. Der-Arguchintsev, Semyon
  2. Robertson, Nicholas
  3. 2022 1st round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
This might be a little too much or too little for Klingberg but I could see this trade making sense for both sides. Robertson is going with his brother and could be a top 6 option even next year. SDA is so growing prospect for us but can do better with a better organization, and the 1st should be a 25-32 draft pick. So overall not too bad for a pending UFA.

Need to have a backup goalie you can trust IF anything happens to Campbell.

Forgot to add that, I'm thinking like Raanta but cheaper and maybe a little worse

Sens aren't giving up a 5th for a guy who you are admitting is a cap dump. They don't need or want him. Wouldn't play for them this year or next

Holl won't be traded. He's too valuable to the Leafs. I'm only posting this so my Leafs fan stalker sees this and tweaks.

With how well Schenn is playing and how much this team loves him, I think it's gonna take a 1st or a high 2nd to get him out of Vancouver. It seems like a high price but he is playing top 4 minutes making $850k, there is value in that right now. I think for Motte this would be a fine deal, although I'm not sure Vancouver wants to take on more cap without a sweetener. I think a Dickinson for Ritchie might be more what the Canucks would be looking for.

Holl and Mrazek are both likely off-season moves if you think they are dumps. But unless you do get real value for them they're best kept on the team. Washington could use a Goalie, Mrazek is a veteran and relatively affordable especially with the goalies they have atm. And Holl to Edmonton I feel does make sense, Holl's value is at least a 3rd he's on a cheap deal and with term.

Don't know why they don't try Sandin on RD with Muzzin and have Holl on the 3rd pairing. Keefe said Muzzin was having trouble moving the puck, so Sandin is exactly what he needs and it doesn't cost anything. They have time to see how it works if not go to plan B. I'M NOT YOUR STALKER. LOL

Nah my stalker is likely crying himself to sleep with all these Holl trade proposals. I'm all for experimenting. You never know. Keefe might find something which improves his team's performance. More options the better. I think Sandin can handle more responsibility.

Problem is with most head coaches, a young Defenseman makes 1 mistake and he loses trust and plays less.. A vet does it and it's overlooked. He's thrown back on the ice to make yet another mistake. Plays more even. LOL
