Value is decent but I'm not sure Jokiharju is the right fit. Doesn't address our needs perfectly. Maybe someone else will offer something better for the Canucks.

Devils fans have been receptive to Garland for 1st 2023 (top-8 protected) + McCarthy (RHD prospect)

forsberg might sign that term for 9 mil, not 7.5

Fair enough. I'd bump the pick up to one of the late 1st this year. We might have 3 to work with if they actually get another at the deadline.

Why's that? A younger RHD under 3mil should be able to be dealt no problem. Worst case put him on waivers and I'm sure someone like Arizona grabs him

idk I think they move garland for another offensemen like zacha pavel
would sabers do dickinson, pearson and a 3rd for henri?

Can't see Jokiharju moving for anything close to that. He's a legit young middle pairing RHD but with Dahlin/Power the Sabres will need a different style of RHD. His value will not be negated by the idea of being shopped.
