Giroux is probably worth a 1st + good Prospect/solid young player + as a rental (2023 1st + Tyson Jost + Sampo Raanta for Giroux half retained maybe). TK probably a first plus something good or in a hockey trade more or less for another top half of the lineup young player. JVR likely has little value, if any, because of his contract, so unless you retain salary or take a bad contract back you won’t get too much. Ristolainen probably would get you a 2nd + something small with retained salary, and Lindblom something similar to that.

Thought you could slip that vandevelde contract in there without me noticing huh? Flyers legend

Just my two cents:

G: 1st + B or two C level prospects, maybe another lower pick or 2nd + A level "for sure" prospect, roster player

TK: 1st (sorta reminds me of NIck Ritchie/Kase trades in how they tapered off there), or lower pick + player who needs scenery change

JVR: Lower pick, highest is a 3rd unless they are taking back some cap too. For example: offseason deal of JVR to Ottawa could be like a 3rd and a 6th, if its too a contender its trickier.

Risto: I know some insiders have said they could get a 1st, I don't see it. 2nd at best, maybe a cap swap too

Lindblom: No idea honestly. I feel like though a lot of it is due to his hardships, can't be that much.

As a Buffalo fan I've proposed making Risto an offer if he makes it to FA this is usually met with jeers from my fellow Sabres fans (There is a lot of Risto hate out there) - here's a guy capable of 40pt 200 hit seasons but he's also very prone to make a couple inexplicitly horrible decisions a game, on the one hand there is a lot to like about his game on the other hand who wants a player who causes some combination of giving the opposing team a high danger chance or unforced turnover a couple times a game.

Giroux-First and a very good prospect

TK-First

JVR-Basically negative value. With retention, maybe a 3rd or 4th

Risto-Confident that some stupid GM will pay a first for him

Lindblom-Honestly not sure. Probably a 2nd, could be convinced for a 3rd though

For the Risto trade is no backsies. He aggravated me when he said in the middle of the Sabers losing steak that it wasn't that bad. I believe he was nothing but toxic.
