Retooling

Created by: Bruinsforlife

Initial Creation Date: Feb. 15, 2022
Published: Feb. 15, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I’m not confident about bergy, he had a lot of injuries and he’s not the type of guy that want to finish is carrer and have a lot of problems going into retirement. Even if it would break my heart I think he could retire, and I will respect his decision because I would do the same. He could ask to get traded to a a team with cup hopes for this year and then retire, enjoy his life and come back in a few years in the organisation as coach or something else.

I like the first oilers trade more than the second however it would depend heavily on what sort of extension debrusk has in mind even then interest would be very mild.

A re-building/re-tooling team won’t pay a 1st for Craig Smith, and I don’t know if any other team would either.

I would love to do a Koskinen for Ullmark trade, but I would not add Broberg. If Smith wants to retire after this year, he would be a very good goalie to get. Obviously it wouldn’t be a 1 for 1, but we would not have to add that much.

Love the idea of bring Nick Foligno back but for cheaper, he's just going to be a bottom 6 player for us

Not taking Foligno. I would offer a better package for Bergeron though... doesn't matter that TOR doesn't really need a C, if he's available, we'd make it fit
