I think, realistically, you're stuck with one of Bailey or Palmieri in the spot you're giving to Rakell - it'll still fit under the cap, and you just slide Wahlstrom up to RW2 and one of the 5 million dollar men down to RW3. Palmieri is probably the guy you'd want to move, since he has the extra year of term, and I still think you have to attach something to get him out. I'd take back a 5/7 from someone if we have to attach a 2nd to Palmieri, because at least you have those lottery tickets instead of nothing. If you want to save cap space for a deadline trade, I think you can skip the Copp contract - the Islanders got into this situation by giving bottom 6 guys higher AAVs and I think you'd be just as happy with a guy like Zach Aston-Reese or Calle Jarnkrok getting around $2M in that LW3 spot.
