Description

These are both moves that could easily be made today. The Coyotes are most likely going to need to reach the cap floor next season and they'll get a draft pick out of it. Pick Brooks back up off waivers as many fans liked his game and he already knows the system.

Brooks Isn't an NHL player, not sure the obession people have over him. He should have thrived in MTL with unlimited playing time

Injuries happen all the time. Brooks only makes $725000. I would play him over Clifford, Ritchie, or Anderson.

Why would the leafs get Brooks now? He's not some great player- the max he can be is a 4th line guy. They have comparable players in the A, and the whole point right now is to bank the space.

They could also bank space by trading Ritchie and potentiallly Dermott/Holl, I'd also feel more comfortable with Brooks as a potential 13th forward over the other guys in the organization
