Blues decline easily. They have no cap space and no need for Pageau.

Funny part is oilers need to move kosk to make cap work but to make the term issue work need to move smith. Oilers goaltending isn’t likely to get addressed because it’s very complex situation.

Lol this is dreadful. Lol you think STL would give up a 1st and a player to get JGP? You think that any team acquiring him is the one giving up assets?

Where would Pageau play on the Blues. Their top 9 is Thomas, Tarasenko, Kyrou, Schenn, Perron, Buchnevich, O'Reilly, Barbashev, Saad. Unless he is going to play on the 4th line for us. Honestly did you even take a look at the blues needs and cap space. No you didn't because this is a dumb idea for the blues to even think about. Also Bortuzzo is fine as a 3rd pairing defensemen. Horrible proposal for the blues

My boy, here are the analytics- he's 30 years old, has four years left on his contract, and makes $5 million (at minimum $2mil too much). Firstly, to suggest the underlying numbers with this player are actually good leaves doubt (I'm sure I could look them up, but you could have also provided them if you were going to use it as an argument). Secondly, any numbers department that presumably understands value and salaries and aging curves that remotely suggests not only acquiring this player, but also giving up assets for him, deserves to never work in hockey.

ok lemme get this straight. You think age, term and AAV are analytics? Do you have an evolving hockey subscription?

what do you mean? I cant screenshot evoling hockey players pages lol and i dont feel like typing it out. But, i feel like proving a point so:

7.1 GAR over the past 3 seasons
20.2 xGAR over the past 3 seasons
0.40 DRAW this season
.9 xOFF this season
57.3 faceoff win percentage this season and atop the best of the league on the PK.

There, guarantee you dont know half of these stats lol

Feel free to read my post where I say nothing about the value of Pagaeu but I do say he would is not a need for the blues. He also would not fit in our Top 9 which is really stacked. No gaslighting here just you need to know how to read buddy. Also feel free to learn about other teams needs before posting a thread about trading players to them. Would save you so much time.

Lol buddy this is a forum. sorry i do not know everything about every nhl team idk why youre so aggressive. That being said, its not exactly like the Blues have closed off all offers that would get them a forward. Not how it works. Injuries happen and if a team can improve, they would

Why make trades with other teams if you don't know anything about them. By doing that your going to get a lot of people saying your trades are bad. Second we have no cap space for him so it won't work. Third I doubt we would be interested in a 3C for 5 million. We already have ROR, Thomas, Schenn, Barbashev, Bozak. Next time actually do some research before you post.
