Based off of the idea that having Barrie in the lineup would make the sabres worse

I would say yes due to the first pick, barrie can play on the third pair who cares, or retain on him and flip him

just flip him or bury him or anything. the 1st makes it worth it. they'll need $$ next year too

How could any one pass up a first round draft pick for Miller and Hägg?
Barrie led ALL NHL defenseman with 48 points in only 56 games.
He may have issues in his own zone, but he would fit right into the Granato system of the defense joining the rush.
He certainly would not be paired with Dahlin, but IMO Granato would find a spot in the line up.
DID MENTION BUFFALO IS GETTING A FIRST?
DID I MENTION BARRIE LED ALL NHL DEFENSEMEN WITH 48 POINTS IN 56 GAMES LAST YEAR?
REINHART HAD ONLY 40 POINTS LAST YEAR.
