Quick has been mediocre this season and can't pass as a starter. And you want to give up, your future starter, an bottom pair D, a first, and a 3rd. Youre out of your mind. The most I'd give up is Kempny and the 3rd!

I agree it’s an overpay, but Quick has been great this season. What are you talking about?

Not good enough to be a starter for a contender. Like sharing a job with Peterson is fine (maybe a bit risky because he's been a bit inconsistent). I wouldn't say great but ok.

Quick almost positively finishes his contract with the Kings. His play has made Petersen have to play better, I think we need another season of a safety net. Because I don’t see the Kings doing as well next season without him.

Kings had the second hardest schedule to start the season (playing mainly in the East) and stole the job back from Petersen. It’s been a pretty significant story on how the Kings have returned to a playoff spot.

Kuemper : 0.918 save percentage, 2.45 GAA
Quick : 0.912 save percentage, 2.60 GAA

And there are some subtle indications that Colorado is a better team than Los Angeles.
