As much as I want both Johnston and Chara off the Isles, it'll probably cost something more just because the front office likes Ross so much for some reason. I'm taking the trade if I was GM but guarantee Lou will not. He wants that jar head Johnston on the fourth line

MAF said he wants a chance to win IF moved so I’m guessing EDM is out despite the fair offer.

Isn't Keiths family in Winnipeg? Seattle is farther from Winnipeg than Edmonton

Yeah he’s from Winnipeg but his wife and kids live in BC, have a home there likely spends his summers there plus I wouldn’t just trade him anywhere like I said he has a NMC controls everything

Not sure if you slept whole day away but Edmonton sits third in the Pacific Division and are four…FOUR points back from first place so IF he gets traded add Edmonton to the list, Coyotes said they’ll retain just put the puzzles together and it’ll be great but Ken Holland ain’t bright nowadays so this is only fairy tales LOL

I haven’t checked the division rankings in awhile, so fair enough on that point. I still don’t think the oilers are contenders in the traditional sense (in other words a team MAF would accept a trade to) but if he could be convinced I’m all for it.

That's not enough for Seattle to give up Gourde. They don't need a 38 year old Duncan Keith as much as Edmonton needs to move him to make the cap work, so Edmonton would probably have to add to get them to take on that contract. Tullio is a middle-6 type prospect, and a 2nd&6th combo isn't really moving the needle. I think you need to upgrade to one of the Savoie/Bourgault/Broberg tier of prospects, and probably make that 2nd a 1st, before Seattle makes the deal.

Yeah I did mean to out the 1st not 2nd LOL, I guess a third look before I made it official would of helped but I did mean the 2024 1st Round Pick and a much better prospects might get them to say yes instantly

Something tells me don’t watch much oilers games or wouldn’t be moving Keith or ceci. That’s been our best two defenders this season.
