That second is probably ~ 20 ish spots higher than the third the Canucks are sending back, thats minimal value.
Garland has a higher career PPG, and is signed long term whereas Heinen is due for a raise.
It would be a really terrible trade for the Canucks.
Again, we armt saying that it is. He said Canucks fans are gonna insist on Marino for Garland. And the Kappy trade for a 4th and 3rd is giving him away for free.
Then you said the proposed Garland trade was giving him away for free the same as the proposed Kappy trade. Heinen, a 26 year old RFA, a 2nd and a 4th isn’t free. Kappy for a 3rd and a 4th is.
Never said it’s a good trade for the Canucks and for Garland.
Heinen is underrated though and cheap. But ya, for sure, Garland > Heinen.
Heinen-16 goals and 47 points. 11 goals and 38 points. 10 goals and 26 points.
Garland-13 goals and 18 points(47 games). 22 goals and 39 points. 12 goals and 39 points. Heinen a better 200-foot player too. But again, ya, for sure Garland > Heinen. And more potential. But Heinen still under-rated.
