I voted no. I just can't see Hollowell ever been an NHLer. Nice that he gets an inflated AHL salary for next season, but really he takes up a roster development spot.

This would be true if the Leafs actually had quality prospects to develop. As it is, Hollowell is still young and has a decent pedigree, great OHL numbers (not that it means much), and could evolve into a guy who can step in as a #8/9 D-Man in lieu of injuries. It’s too bad - I’d had small hope for him when he first arrived.
Mostly tho I see this as solidifying the Marlies top-4 to keep them competitive and continue their playoff streak even while the prospect mill has largely run dry.
