i almost want this to happen so everyone who wants Chariot on the leafs gets to see how bad he is night in and night out, and then get mad at dubas for over paying for a guy who sucks despite them loving the trade the exact same way they did with foligno

How is dumping Ritchie worth a 1st plus prospect they can buy him out for 300k against the cap? That’s worth like a 4th…

You will have to do a WAY BETTER offer than this if you want Benny. Chiarot is a chad. You desperately want him on your team because he's differently built, a absolute unit compared to every peasants on your team. The price for this genetically superior human is 2 1st round picks and Amirov. If you're not ready to give these assets, step aside, child.

Its not like he’s Bobby Orr, but he’s got size and is a decent defender. That sort of thing is really important in the playoffs. Hey, if you want to watch Dermott fish the puck out of the back of the net in the playoffs, have at it.

$1.1 M in year 2 of buyout requires a 1st and prospect

he is literally one of the worst defensive players in the league. And if the leafs got chariot he wouldnt be fishing the puck out of the net because he'd still be turning around by the time campbell fished it out because he's slower than a dead snail

Lol did he steal your girl or something? He’s not phenomenal by any means, but he’s not bad. He certainly adds an element most teams need.

He's legit terrible, like staggeringly so. Every stat you can name says he is, and watching him try to do anything that isnt crosschecking is like watching a moose try to ice dance.
It's remarkable how people say otherwise

I don’t mind if he goes to Toronto for a 1st but I don’t want the main piece coming back to be knies, niemela or anirov.
Not that they are not good, but they have been tainted ….imo, fwiw, niemala is the best of the 3. Then knies, then amirov. I think amirov will be a bust

I think you’re paying too much attention to fancy stats, and not even attention to hockey. He has value.

im paying just as much attention to watching him. He's just awful in viewing too. He can do one thing well. Plant himself in front of his own net and crosscheck dudes. He's also really good at screening his own goalie and tipping pucks on his own net, but that's not a good thing. He cant break a cycle, he cant break the puck out, he cant take the puck from a forward, he cant skate well enough to handle any speed or lateral movement and he cant even defend against shots in the area he is planted in.
the only value he has is in the dinosaur brains of GMs who have been hypnotized by rock em sock em vhs tapes. the only value he has on the ice is negative.

Then i don’t think you understand this game. He’ll get value, because he has value. Cheerio.

yeah, if you watch him and dont think that, then you have no idea what a hockey puck is let alone understand the game. Because he's awful and any team that trades for him is basically adding an excuse for losing

Right. So everyone involved in hockey is stupid, and you’re smart.

I hope you have fun living in your own little world. I want no part of it.

Lol give me one example of a team trading a first to unload 1.1 million in cap. Like Arizona didn’t even get close to that for Ladd who has a cap hit of 5.5
