TBH poulin is more like 2nd round value at this point, and the 3rd is there partly because it's not enough value going to MTL and partly in case poulin flops

can’t wait till they find an elite line mate to play with him and suzuki. that would be insane
(preferably someone who’s really good offensively and responsible defensively)

Another one I was thinking of was trocheck. Not sure he would be called elite but he is a pest. A pain to ply against who stands there ground. Maybe

yeah again not elite and he gets injured all the time doesn’t he, wouldn’t be the best idea

yeah he’d be a good idea but question is can you afford to fit him in under cap (like gaudreau)

I don't know honestly. Unless it's Wright, I can't see signing an 18 YO and then putting him on the 1st line. That's a lot to expect him to do.

yeah for sure, i was thinking long term those are great options. No reason in thinking of next season when it is likely to be a regular season to forget...

Perhaps, but we still have Price + Caufield and Suzuki are just going to get better. Considering there's reports about Montreal targeting Letang, I don't think Hughes will be going for a lost season.
