i'll say this

even though sure lehkonen has good defensive stats, thats all he can really do. he's good for like 25 points in a szn (30-35 if he's having a good season) but most cup contending teams are gonna want lehkonen to be half retained (or maybe even 75% retained @ 575K) because they'll be cap strapped (or want to save cap space)
as an RFA, he's probably gonna get north of 2M next season as well so that creates some implications

Not really, just shows he’s amazing defensively, he’s a great 3rd liner, exactly what you need from one, value wise, you’re probably looking at 2nd+okay prospect or 3rd+decent prospect

Adjust expectations on a Chiarot return down again.
Kulak is making noise now and might take some teams out of consideration for Chiarot.
He's still the more "playoff archetype" of the two, but the lower cost (and cap), might have a team switch targets.

Hopefully Montreal resigns Kulak. He brings way more to the team than anything we could get for him. Will be a good #5 next year.

It's an option, and probably a smart one, I'm just worried what a contract would look like. If he wants a raise and term, we should probably part ways.
