Hi everyone.

The leafs are better than the habs.

Bye everyone.

Leafs got 7 extra games
Habs got Shane Wright

Who's better, exactly??

Would you like a slightly used William Nylander?

Thats besides the point
But , only if you take Mike Hoffman back, pretty fair trade IMO 😉

The more important factor is that Bergevin is gone.* Sticking Out Tongue So if Anderson cares enough to get his number changed he could do it.

I’m interested in seeing whether Suzuki would want to switch to #37 or #88 now and if Caufield would want to switch to #8. Those 2 specifically probably won’t, since so many fans have their current jersey numbers and they likely don’t care that much, but it is a possibility.

*This is a half joke, since Bergevin let incoming veteran players (like Anderson) pick their numbers, while he assigned low numbers to rookies like Fleury, Suzuki, Caufield, Poehling, Sergachev, and Kotkaniemi. (With Fleury and Suzuki being the weirdest ones because he changed Suzuki’s number before the training camp he made the team, and he changed Fleury’s number after the training camp when he made the team.)

I always thought caufield would wear 59 or 13 since that’s what he wore in the juniors iirc but 8 would be neat (next ovechkin)
That being said i personally like 22 on his jersey
As for suzuki i feel like if he takes 37 then we have no more number for “backup goalie who’s staying one season” (niemi, hammond in recent memory though i think niemi stayed for more than a year). But 88 would be cool

With Pacquette & RHP I believe

Laval is tied 1-1 in their series
Next 3 games in Laval, and if needed, final 2 games in Springfield
Also interesting, Charlie Lindgren is playing against his former team this series

I love the fact they didn't announce a formal plan like Bergevin did with a specific timeline. There's just so much uncertainty in this league to predict the duration of whatever process the Habs are going through. Even if you say it's a 5-year plan and it does turn out to be a 5-year plan, the GM will get little credit for it - if it takes longer than 5 years, it's gonna resurface every season as it did for Bergevin. Setting a timeline just sets you up for disappointment & failure.

I love this signing, I always liked Leskinen as a player. I hope he's not another Mikko Lehtonen. Next Wideman? Hope so.

I'm him

JK

I don't really like the first 2, not enough value coming back, just question marks.
The last one I like, but philly may be giving up too much imo

Don’t you guys think the best idea for Anderson is keep him. Obviously no deal would be fair for both sides because not many guys play with that type of game and value is uncertain

kh is probably gonna do the same thing he did with lehky. dont move him unless the right offer comes up
obviously barron and a second was an overpay because hughes waited for the right offer

Do you think there would be a gm that could come up with a realistic enough offer that could work for both teams for a player like Anderson.
