Don’t see this happening unless there is multiple future assets coming back to NSH

Makes no sense for the Canucks to trade Miller for a rental

Wow, super out to lunch. Essentially, you are getting JT for a second round pick. Forsberg is a UFA who would walk to the highest bidder at the end of the season. And you think the preds should get more?

Nashville is in a weird position with Forsberg since they’ve been one of the better teams in the league so far and while they’re reportedly actively engaged in extension talks, it’s likely he does not sign long term and they lose him for nothing at the end of the year.

Swapping him with another similarly good player makes sense but I don’t think this is the deal that makes the most sense.

The deal would have to include a team trying to make a playoff push with a lesser player potentially on a rookie deal going back to Nashville.

I’m not suggesting this but a team like the Rangers and a player like Kaapo Kakko for Filip Forsberg deal would be in the scope of what could work.

The preds should get more future assets if they trade forsberg
I’m not knocking JT, just believe if we trade him we receive future assets not current ones

Then you are not getting JT at all. Like another said, why would Van want a rental in Forsberg?
JT is a way better all round player than Forsberg.
