Puljujarvi out for 4 weeks

Description
PAIN.

I think Yamo is the best fit now with Hyman and McD. Last time He played with McD, I believe against Vancouver, he had 6 SOG.

For the second line, The simple replacement here is Ryan McLeod. Against Anaheim, he set up both Draisaitl and Kane for goals. I think that McLeod and Draisaitl have chemistry especially in rushes (As displayed in games vs WSH, ANA.)

I could see hyman shifted to his natural side and moving up mcleod to LW1 since he has time there before and excelled at that spot. Plus the move would not compromise the hot L2 and L3.

Hyman has been simply magnificent with McDavid since Woodcroft took over, so I wouldn't touch him. McLeod has been great with Draisaitl, He produces a bit more with him so He can replace Yamo on that 2nd line. IMO, Yamo into Puljujarvi's spot and McLeod into the 2nd line is the best option for lineups we have rn.

I just think that Hyman with mcdavid is great so by switching him to the right side (which is his natural side) mcleod can play with connor which he has done before and had some success with. That way the hot L2 and L3 stay in tact and the only real change will be more management of the L4 mins

i think this lineup makes the most sense. agree on the McLeod+Draisaitl chemistry, they've looked great together in albeit short minutes, and Kane looks to be getting up to speed and learning how to play with Drai as well. Yamo is a good Puljujarvi replacement for his forechecking/puck retrievals, and Hyman+McD work very well together so i'd leave them be. Third line has been excellent under Jay, so i also wouldn't touch that. Maybe we see a Malone or Griffith/Marody call up, but otherwise i mentally put together this exact same lineup. curious to see how they'll fare to end the month against some elite competition

I like the idea of promoting McLeod into the top 6 based on his recent play. The wild card I'd like to see get a shot is Griffith. He's a RW and has 46P in 34GP (1.35P/G) in the AHL this year... I think it warrants at least a look.

Since we're rolling 11F/7D, I think Woodcroft wood use either Benson/Perlini/Shore, although I think calling up Griffith/Marody is a good idea.

Agreed, Griffith has played amazing in the game he's played so far in NHL and he's been called up twice I believe this season. So, If anyone is getting called up, IMO Griffith is the most likely
