This is beyond bad. We aren't interested in trading fiala for 7/ 8d man who will be in ahl. A winger prospect Below Adam Beckman and two picks. No thanks

This isn't that bad. You're getting a top six guy who can help your powerplay, a solid prospect in Jarventie who's putting up pretty good numbers in the AHL. The second will be a high second as well as a third. Most likely, you won't be able to able to resign Fiala long term this summer

I could see Poile and Hynes liking Sanford's size for the bottom 6, they just have so many bottom 6 guys right now. Having said that, I could see Poile doing a deal like this. I don't think NSH needs to do this deal or necessarily should, but it feels like a Poile move.

Brannstrom is just on the cusp of being a good NHL dman and you will see by the end of the year. DJ Smith just didn't realize he's good and took him 2 years to do so. If it makes you happy, I can replace Jarventie with Ridly Greig.

Honestly yeah I didn't put too much thought into this. I thought it might make sense because you have the cap and I wanted a 4th round pick lol

I don’t think Bill Guerin takes any interest in that offer

I agree this isn’t close to enough but people have got to stop underrating Brannstrom. He’s a #4D . He’s not a defensive liability either like ppl wanna say. Also Jarventie is just as good as Beckman. He’s still 19 in the AHL lol

Brannstrom wouldn't play in MIN, so this is where you are wrong. Minnesota d is stacked now and for the forseeable future. If one lf fiala or Dumba gets traded, Adam Beckman or calen addison replace them. Sorry other teams will be interested then. We aren't doing a deal for players who will not be ready, or one who will be on ahl until injuries

Minnesota has Jon merrill and Dmitry Kulikov for the next two to three years as 5-6d. If dumba gets resigned because Guerin loves him, our d for the forseeable future will have no room for Brannstrom. At least Greg is a C prospect

Jared spurgeon. Alex G
Dumba/ Brodin
Dmitry Kulikov, Jon merrill
Calen Addison

Next year
Jared spurgeon, Alex g (Calen addison)
Dumba (Calen addison) , Brodin
Dmitry Kulikov, Jon merrill
Ryan o'Rourk

First, I definitely wouldn’t be assuming that Beckman is a replacement for Fiala. That’s just naive.

Second, the biggest issue for us with Brannstrom would be redundancy. We’ve already seen that they’re shy to use Addison because he embodies a similar role as Spurgeon. So it’s less about Brannstrom not being good enough (he is), and more just that it’s a redundant piece of value.

I disagree. I think Addison will be part of a package at the deadline. O'rourke and Lambos are still a couple years away, and Brannstrom should sign a cheap contract this year which will help you short term with the Parise and Suter buyouts

Dumba will likely be the guy to go this off season, Addison will replace Dumba and Guerin will re-sign Fiala.

Addison is probably the last prospect Guerin is willing to get rid of outside of Rossi, he’s our most ready Dman prospect who will be on the team full time next season

Our gm has made it clear he's not trading prospects like addison, or picks like 1st round picks. Addison wasn't included in an eichel deal, so respectfully you would be wrong on this account.

Who's the one quality prospect you give up for a center then? Because respectfully Hartman and Ek aren't carrying you to a stanley cup

Your comment on Joel Eriksson ek is just not trying to be rude but it's just shows lack of awareness. Joel Eriksson ek is one of the best two way C in the game today. Not even responding to that. In regards to Hartman, only matter what our coaching staff and gm think. Our gm isn't going all in and has no intention of giving up a 1st or prospects for rentals

Oh I agree Ek is very underrated and a great 2C. I did not know Guerin does not want to give up quality assets, but from my own POV this is your year to make a run. Because Parise and Suter taking up 14 mill of the cap next year. That's not to say you can't win after that, because Rossi and Boldy will be cheap for 2+ years. Since I'm not a wild fan and do not know Addison's place within the organization, I always thought Hertl would fit well there for Wild 1st round pick + Addison

It has been largely agreed upon between MIN and OTT fans that trading for Fiala in the summer will cost Ottawa's 2022 1st and a boom/bust-prospect like Järventie. I'd rather take that than this. Brännström doesn't have a spot in our lineup and those picks aren't NHL-ready in years.

It depends on who he’s being traded to but I would assume a 1st round pick and a B-Level prospect or an A-Level prospect and a 2nd + 3rd round pick
