Remember how for every rumoured trade people on CF overreact and way overrate how much Dubas needs to pay, and then they freak out every time when he gets actual value?
This is one of those times. This was always going to be the rough trade value.

Reasonable for both sides. I like the get. Leaves the Leafs with an expected 700k of deadline cap space and we can get more by waiving Dzingle or trading Dermott or Holl. Win-win trade.

Wonder when the coyotes need to chose which pick they will take? Draft day 2023?

IMO it's 3 throwaway players. None of these players are impact NHL players.

Toronto is giving up a 2nd/3rd round pick in exchange for 1.3 Million next year (Since Ritchie can simply be buried). IMO not worth it, but that's what happens when you're on the cap limit.

But Toronto cant get out of Ritchie's contract without giving up two 2nd round picks, right?!

Win for the Leafs, but none of these guys are really going to be effictive polayers, and the leafs are just gonna lose in the 1st round again, and the Yotes are selling, so it's an okay trade.

Lyubushkin is exactly what the Leafs need on the backend, and Dzingel is a pretty decent depth option.

They only have 6,000 at ASU...so not as many as you'd think... less than OTT DET CHI and SEA

I’m not crazy about this trade, but it’s a pretty clear win. Toronto adds while clearing cap.

I think it's a clear dub for TOR. Simply because they didn't have to pay to move a crap contract.

They still won’t be able to sell out what’s worst.

I guess we'll see. I don't see either player fitting well in the Leafs system, but time will tell.

Honestly I think this is a win, as lybushkin would have been depth I'd have gone looking for at the deadline with a little room. I'd have paid a 4th for him. A 3rd next year is similar value to a fourth this year.

So dumping Ritchie and getting dzingel was nearly free. Good deal

It's a long time away so Toronto is trying to incentivize Arizona to take the pick now. The longer you wait, the better the pick ROI grin

Also cap hit for Ritchie is way less as I believe he's you g enough to have the cheap buyout cost

2nd + Ritchie to Arizona for FC

Dubas NUH UH **** I GET VALUE FOR ANYONE

I like the trade. Wish it was Fischer over Dzingel but whatever. We get 2 solid depth pieces in exchange for a cap dump and a 2023 3rd (Arizona aint waiting till 2025 lul)

It honestly blows my mind how overrated KD is... They've been in win-now mode for 4 years and have a grand total of 0 series wins.

Great trade for the Leafs. They don't give up a roster player. Lyubushkin is a bit of an upgrade on Holl. Dzingel is a usable depth forward. The draft pick is a ways down the road

Ritchie = 4th to dump
Lybushkin = 3rd
Dzingel = 4th.
3rd + 4th + 4th > 2nd 2025
Toronto fleeces coyotes
