I think they try out Dzingel for a few games, and if he doesn’t work, they just waive him.

I can see Leafs rotating Engvall with Dzingel

I wouldn’t take Holl out of the lineup just yet, he’s still effective on the PK and played well with Sandin

(sigh)

For the 9736th time, the Blues have no use and no cap for anyone's trash, thanks.

So you suggest they do nothing at the deadline?

I definitely wouldn’t scratch Holl. Dermott and Luby are great depth to have. Might be best to rotate Dzingel and Simmonds. In my mind Engvall has proven his use.

I didn't say that. But shipping a pick for a meh D-man that isn't even the type they're looking for ain't gonna work for the cap. Obviously.

Why? Engvall has hardly been the 12th best forward. He's at worst 10th best for our forwards. If anyone should come out its Spezza and he isn't sitting for Dzingel. He's the 13th forward and if he goes on waivers and they lose him, who cares.

Simmonds has been really good this season as well. At least when Engvall is on the 4th line. Dzingel will get a game or two in without question and I doubt we go without any injuries down the stretch so he'll get some time but he's the 13th forward without question.

That's almost exclusively what 3rd round picks are for

Nah Spezza and Simmonds leadership in needed in the locker room. I wanna see Dzingel with Engvall and Spezza and With Engvall and Simmonds.

Create a healthy rotation as Simmonds and Spezza needs some days off especially with a back to back Monday and Tuesday

Huh? Third rounders are exclusively for acquiring trash you don't need and have no cap space for? I don't follow this logic.

And FYI, you may wish to check the Blues draft history. They do rather well drafting round 3 and beyond. It's not some throwaway to them.

I just don't think Dzingel is really good. He will get some games but he's hardly an improvement over anyone we have
