Nope, the Leafs aren't going to trade two NHL Dman with term for one with an expiring contract. IMO the Leafs defence is set,,,,as is LW.

You do realize that if a team can get upgrades they’ll do it. Furthermore I cleared cap for next season.

Hagel is one of the most underrated players in the league and if you have the opportunity to get him you do it.

Plus Muzzin needs someone who can move the puck. That ain’t Holl or Dermott and Liljegren ain’t ready for that kind of minutes as yet. Miller is just a stop gap till Liljegren will be ready next season.

Well, I disagree with you statement "If a team can get upgrades they'll do it". Teams have to balance the now and future. I still say going with seven NHL Dman (including Liljegren) is cutting it real close with a long way to go in the season and hopefully playoff season. Then next season with Lubyshin the Leafs are down to six NHL Dmen (which includes Liljegren)
Yea Hagel is nice but he isn't going to get the quality ice time he's getting with the Hawks.
