Blues may or may not be in on him. It seems like the majority of Blues fans are less than excited about the prospect of moving any piece of value for him. This is probably because we don’t look at Chariot as a big upgrade on Scandella or Mikkola

We had Scandella and Chiarot in the same line up at the same time. The latter is way better.

Blues have no capspace.

None of their roster players fits the profile of being expendable and needed by MTL.

A 50% retained Chiarot for a low 1st + a meaningless contract dump is the only scenario in play.

Bolduc would be nice, but MTL would need to add and I don't think STL want to go there since their chances to a Stanley Cup aren't that great.

One thing I’ve learned from following this team, is that you never see the trades coming with Armstrong. It’s never who you think it’s gonna be. The only player who I remember us being seriously in on and then committing was ROR (and even that happened after we were told it wasn’t happening cuz of the bonus.) Everything else (Schenn, Faulk, Buch, etc) came out of nowhere. That’s why I’d be shocked if Chiarot is a Blue

Friedman didn't say anything, man. I watched it. He literally had like four seconds to speak and just blurted out an "I think" comment with "one of" and "interested" kickers. Whenever Friedman uses his wiggle words, it's a blaring goal horn red lamp warning that he's talking BS.

Meanwhile, all these Twitter accounts and AGMs are insisting he said something entirely different that was very meaningful. He didn't.

Usually, when a guy of Friedman's reputation in the Hockey world says something, it's because they have a reason to believe so. You watched the one of this week, the latest Tweet is from the end of January. Put all the pieces of the puzzle together and "The Blues having interest in Chiarot" is much more plausible than "The Blues not having interest in Chiarot".

Cause of the market I don’t think chariot returns that

First of all, Friedman is a hack. It's astonishing he has the place in the media world that he has. The guy is the wiggle word king, and still gets so so so much horribly wrong. And he likes to say things as fact... and then come back a little later and admit he doesn't actually know anything about it. He did this with Tarasenko over and over again last summer.

But more to this specific case, what does this mean? "Interest"? Does interest = they called once a month ago? Does interest = they are currently locked in a deathmatch struggle negotiation over an impending trade? Well gosh, Elliotte does not say. Elliotte never says. He just says the vaguest, most unsupported thing he can say. It's meaningless. It's certainly not "Lets be realistic blues are amongs the top teams for chariot". It's not "Doesn't get more legit than that."

But that's okay, it's all good. We all shall see together soon enough.

If you dislike Friedman, it's your right, but someone not admitting there are more hints that the Blues are interested than the opposite is covering their head in sand. As you say, we shall see, but even if he goes to another team doesn't mean the Blues were not making a push.

A perfect example of why this site also needs a laughter button next to the like button. Comedy gold, sir. Kudos.

The claim had nothing to do with hints. It had to do with factual information, reports, claims, serious interest, premium prices, so on and so forth. There is none of this. NONE. Even the so-called "hints" are continually misrepresented here, pumped up to the sky. And I have proved that today beyond a shadow of a doubt with actual facts and evidence.
