That's a monster contract for forsberg. You'd be paying him till he's 35 and likely he will have a huge decline. Philly needs to admit that their window has closed and are on the middle of a revamp. Get younger and leaner.

I don't disagree with that at all, but it doesn't seem like that's ownerships' plan though haha. That's why I added Forsberg.

I do not think they will trade Girgensons.
He is by far Buffalo's best defensive forward.
JVR would work for Buffalo, but the draft picks are nearly the value to take on his salary for another year.

Flyers shouldn’t be giving up more draft picks to contend. Embrace the retool and if we’re trading JVR don’t give up a second and a third

I don't think its a certainly or likely that Forsberg has a decline, he's entering his prime years, i think someone will give him this contract and the Flyers are desperate for game breaking players.

FWIW, I don't believe they should either. That said, ownership doesn't seem to want to wait, based on what was said publicly a few weeks ago.
