Nick Robertson
Mikko Kokkenen
2022 1st

FOR

Brandon Hagel
2022 3rd
2023 7th

Kokkenen is a very quiet yet solid defender over in the finnish league. He'd be a nice depth piece for ya'll in the future. I believe he's only 20 or 21. We'd like to gain a 7th back as we don't have one for next year, and Kokkenen would be the incentive to get it. Bit of an overpay but Kokkenen wont have a future with TOR.

Yeah. I know who he is. I made a point a few months back to do a deep dive on prospects. He is definitely a solid prospect. Maybe something like this gets done. But it all depends on CHI's GM situation and what the plan ends up being.

Yeah im noticing a lot of going's on's over there, just seen that Bobby Hull was removed as Ambassador. But I speak for some leaf fans in saying that we like Hagel a lot. We also like Pysyk in Buffalo too, and for me personally, I also like Hinostroza and Hagg over there too. I hope one or some, or maybe all get shipped to TOR, but that's just me being greedy

Yeah. They should have gotten rid of Hull years ago. He was a great hockey player but a pretty ****ty human being. They actually parted ways last year. But it was just confirmed. Hinostroza started his career in CHI and is from right around where I grew up actually. I've always liked him but he has really taken some big steps this season. TOR is probably gonna have to find depth from within or overpay to bring depth in from outside because they are gonna be cap strapped for a while. Plus free agents on good teams are always going to be commanding more money so you'll have to find cheaper replacements. Watching Dubas manage TOR is fun though. He has pulled out some pretty slick moves to keep them rolling along and even improve the team.

Dude, I cant tell ya the stress level I get when Dubas is rumoured to be cooking up a deal. We never know who he is targeting. Hes such an analytical GM, and plays by statistics, which many aren't familiar with. Itll be intresting what deal he pulls off next. At this point, leaf fans are sitting in the clouds wondering who it may be

Hinostroza looked good playing for Chicago last year with 12 pts in 17 games.
He is fast, smart and is a team player.
IMO Hinostroza could have signed for more with another team based on his resume and output last year.
Granato must be a good coach and better person.
Granato was a coach when Caggiula, Davidson, Hayden and Hinostroza played with the Hawks (Hinostroza also played with Granato).
They all signed with the Sabres.
Adams should have signed Pysyk last year when the Sabres were actually trying to compete.
He has by far exceeded my expectations. While he is not a top pairing RHD he is more than just a depth addition.
I thought Hagg was added to balance the roster, but he also is more than just a depth addition. Both are a HUGE upgrade over Dermott.
So what are they worth?
Hinostroza is nearly at 0.5pts/game, Hagg and Pysyk will sacrifice their bodies to block shots and only Hayden has more Sabre hits than Hagg.
For most of the season they have been the Sabres top PK defensemen.
Now that Dubas added Dzingel and Lyubushkin do you think he would trade for any of Hinostroza, Pysyk or Hagg?
On the other hand, in the 2006 play offs in the 7th game against Carolina Buffalo had to play their 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th defensemen and ultimately lost.
