Id rather hold on to Petry for now, not to have him as part of the rebuild but just to get his value up more. I don’t think his value has dropped as much as other fans say it has however but still. He’s starting to play much better under MSL. I think it’d be best to let him play out the season and get a good 30 games under his belt to prove to people that he’s still the same player he was over past 5-6 years. More teams would be open for a trade in the summer.

And I think it would be best not retain on too many contracts since an eventual price trade would almost definitely require us to use one of our retention spots.
