Description

He doesn't seem to have the Goal Scoring touch he once had. And yes, he's never excelled Defensively.

But with 27 Assists through 50 games on a crappy Coyotes team, he seems like he can still distribute the puck relatively well.

Stick him on the 1st line where he can just keep feeding One Timers to Zibenejad. Or hit Kreider in front of the net.

Plus, if they take on the whole Contract, it won't cost as much.

Kessel would be a good add but IDK about burying Kakko on the third line. It kinda feels like you’re giving up on him.

They have been giving Lafreniere more time at RW, since he was buried on the Left. So either way, one of those 2 would be stuck on the 3rd line.

I like what I’ve seen from Laf at RW and I don’t think NYR should trade the future to go all in this season. But Kessel at this price is not something they can resist.

I think Kessel would bring nice experience for NYR but this offer very likely gets outbid near the deadline.

Kessel can go by his 8 team trade list .....so the Rangers may not have much competition in his services....possibly no team.

I'd like to think a team like Predators would give a nice run for the guy. They need playoff experience and they have the cap space. Plus I kinda like the fit for Kessel in the country team.
