Ill be surprised if we get a 2nd for names. I'd hope we get Martinez but I think it will cost more than just a 4th. They're in a pinch but Martinez still has value.

For Namestnikov I think he’s worth a third without retention, so it depends entirely on if the team needs to pay to cut cap. He’s been really good this year and I think he’ll be in demand as a strong Swiss Army knife option for a playoff team. We’ll see though.

As for Martinez, Vegas is in a very tight spot, but he is positive value which is why I don’t have them paying us. He’s not a dump in that he’s bad but in that they literally have to move cap out or they’re not compliant next year (or possibly this playoffs). Other moves they could make like dadonov probably require them to pay up.

Maybe they could probably haggle for a third but I don’t see much more.

Either way I’m not stuck on Martinez but I think he’s on a good term for our timeline as a guy that can insulate Ajo and Edvinsson until they’re ready to be “the guys” and support the guys on the right side

I love Martinez as a fit and his no trade may help if playing in Michigan matters to him at the end of his career.

I'd be surprised if you can even get a bag of pucks for Gagner.
You might have to down grade to broken sticks.

Need more for Leddy with retention. Need more to take Koskinen back. I don't agree Koskinen is better than Griess.

No no no. The upgrade is for Edmonton, not Detroit. The 4th is the payment for a goalie swap with minor upside.

And while I used to be of the opinion that Leddy with retention was worth a second... his play in the last few months means that’s probably not a reality.

Luckily Steve Y is better at this then me.
