Pens say no thank you. We don't need Kulak and Perrault is not worth a 3rd. Well, neither of those players are worth a 3rd.

I counter with a 5th for Perrault.

no playoff team is going to want him for a 1st rounder, if you look at his stats he would either be a 7th Dman or a defensive liability giving a first for that would be ridiculous

This 1st for Chiarot is very overblown because their GM said that's the asking price as any GM would do. No GM comes out and says, "Hey, we'd like a first, but we realistically know he's worth a 3rd at best."

Yea that be more than good for Perrault I think kulak fetches a 4th just combined the two value wise doesn’t necessarily have to be Pitt either

I don't think you up the value because of the number of pieces included. I agree, Kulak fetches a 4th and Perrault as one pointed out is likely worth a 7th, so I was being a bit generous using a 5th, so you'd just make the trade a 4th and a 6th, not combining as a 3rd. But yeah, Kulak would be better suited for another team.

That’s the problem with this site is people only look at stats nothing else .. you do know that playoff hockey and regular season hockey are different right? A Dman like chiarot is actually valued come playoff time because he’s able to clear the front of the net and be heavy on opposing players in the corners all well be a great shot blocker and being a good penalty killer

Although I believe the trade value is fair what else do you think would need to be added ?

Whatever else is needed in the package that you would trade Alexander Romanov for

Romanov is far more proven at the nhl level than lundkvist so not comparable

if he was useful for all the things you just said he wouldn't be a -26 in the regular season

101 games .. lindkvist has what played 4 ? Meh defence ? He plays good defence just makes mistakes which is common for a young player but you at least see the potential he has at the NHL level .. with lundkvist you still have no idea..

i wouldn't be selling right now on Chychrun considering he is having a down year and still has term on his contract i wouldnt give what the yotes want for him either, a players confidence can really affect their game

Term on his contract and age is why they can ask so much for him and likely will get it whether it’s at the deadline or in the off-season.. Chiarot is the most affordable rental Dman available which is why he is going to fetch a first from a contending team or a 2nd and B prospect

4 points in 25 games. Slightly better scoring rate than Romanov, in other words.

You’re also describing the exact definition of meh defence for a prospect by the way.

Doesn't matter the team or the situation , Lehkonen is nothing more than a 3/4th line checking winger. Like him all you want... but that does not bring back A tier prospects.

So he’s on pace to have three more points than Romanov.. what about hits? Or blocked shots ? That has more to do with defence then points ..
No.. Meh defence wouldn’t allow a player to stick at the NHL level

A great proven 3rd line checking winger that has team control and a 3rd round pick for a 28th overall pick that has yet to prove anything.. he’s a B+ maybe A- prospect
