CHI says no. Why would CHI be adding a pick? Kravstov and Georgiev are not worth more than Flower 50% retained and Strome...

No to all of it. Not winning the cup and you got rid of multiple high quality young players.

HABS decline. Chiarot will fetch a 1st and a prospect

Lehki should get a 1st or a 2nd and prospect.

Holy Snikes!!! What are you smoking on???
Montreal has like 2 players in total that could fetch a 1st round pick. MAYBE.

The Rangers absolutely say no. This trade is worse than the trade in the AGM you sent this link in.

So you guys haven't learned from the Toffoli trade I see.

Wait and see. Your comment has no merit. HABS got a 1st, 2nd (Emil H.), rental in Pitlick and a 4th. Pitlick can be traded for 5th or 6th RD at TDL.

Lehki for Kravtsov is a doable trade or for 2x 2nd round

My comment has no merit? You guys were trading Toffoli a 1st, 2nd and multiple top prospects, and in some cases decent roster players on top of that. You guys were WAYYYYY off.

Lehkonen is a solid defensive 3rd line winger who puts up about 25 to 30 points a year. In what universe is that worth a 1st or 2nd and a prospect?

Same numbers than Barclay Goodrow, remember the Tampa trade 2-3 years ago...
Also, remember the Davis Savard's trade last year

I think the MTL trade looks like fair value but, I don’t think NYR would be inclined to do that.

Key giveaway that the OP is always a Habs fan: Schneider to Montreal.

Schneider drastically changes things compared to the SJ/Tampa trade. Drastically.

Habs fans: "We really want him, but he's not THAT good so that's why we're not giving up much."

And I gave you a valid response. A solid defensive 3rd line winger who puts up 25 to 30 points is not worth a 1st or 2nd + prospect. Toffoli went for a 1st and a prospect. So you're telling me a good top-six winger has the same value as a 3rd line who puts up about 40% less points?

He wasn't. It was a poor trade.

Tampa trade him to NY for a 7th, so why is that?

OK... I think that you don't know many things, just for you, He was UFA, and TB traded his signing right to NYR... Just take the right information before comment!! LOL

Oh, so a player who's assumed to be worth a 1st when he's under contract drops to a 7th when they're a rental? When the heck did that start happening? Yeah, I'm the one who doesn't get it lol

That is the whole point to this thread. AT the TDL a team will overpay for a player. In your mind he is worth less but a GM wanting a piece for the playoffs will overpay. Some win and some lose

But you actually think he should get as much as Toffoli. You don't see how out-of-bounds that is?

HABS do not need to trade Lehki, he is in their plans but teams are after the HABS for Lehki so they`ll have to pay or he stays in MTL. The teams looking for Lehki are driving up the price.

Not a joke, you really don't understand why a team trade the signing rights (and the value) on a player when he's UFA...

In my mind he is worth a 2nd and a 3rd. Shaw cost Mtl 2x 2rd picks and one of them ended up being DeBrincat. Thank god Bergevin is gone.
