Unfortunately Pittsburgh doesn't have an appropriate main piece to start a converstion for Scheifele.

Pens would need to add major time, A deal starting Kapanen and Pettersson for Scheifele isn't a good start.

A first, swap Petts with Marino. Add POJ, Poulin.

That’s the initial offer to not have Jets hang up on us.

Problem is, they will get way better offers if he is in fact available.

A Scheifele deal would probably have to be an offseason transaction, when there are more suitors because of additional offseason cap flexibility so the Jets could maximize their return. Also, the Scheifele speculation started with a YouTube video from a daily sports show in Winnipeg (ex-TSN radio guys), with one going on a rant about Scheifele's play in December. There have been no insiders or beat reporters saying he is being shopped.
