It's an overpay but that's what the price has been placed at supposedly and teams do seem to be interested so it may be an overpay but a trade like that will probably happen

I think Connor Murphy is more of an off-season trade. I think because of his new extension, he’s not untouchable, but it would take a lot for the Blackhawk’s to trade him. A first round pick, and second mid round draft pick, a roster player and a prospect.

I don't see it from Edmonton's perspective. Firstly Holland has been very explicit that he's not spending a 1st for a rental, and secondly MAF has been below average this season.

Sadly Hagel is going to get an overpay. He’s got a great contract, size, and grit. His contract can fit on any team with minimal issue. He’s a style of player Nashville would want. I’m not attached to Svechkov so I’m fine with parting with him. The additional first on top of a good prospect is a bit much for me though. I’d be fine with a pair of 2nds and maybe one with a contingency to get bumped up based off of either team performance in the playoffs or individual performance. If Nashville were to make it to the cup finals I’d say that’s a pick well spent but we fall short of that and it becomes a hard pill to swallow

He’s to the blackhawks like Jeannot is to us. Big body, gritty, puts up points and a great contract. I understand the ask because it’s what I’d want out of a Jeannot trade

We should go after 1 of the forward prospects from TOR if we make this move. Regula and Mitchell both looking good. Regula has good size and will be able to fill that size void long term and Mitchell is rocking the AHL lately.

Im hopeful we keep Hagel. Id prefer to not trade him to a divisional rival if we do.

MAF is the most likely of these and I could see WSH making a proper move. Would be cool to see MAF and Ovi together. Proper legends making a deep cup run and maybe winning....

Oilers decline, Holland is not spending a 1st on a rental, further to that MAF won’t waive his NMC to go to Edmonton.
