Win Boston, Homeboy, still 22, has still potential for bottom pair, captain of his team.
So to compare him to a 7t, it’s a easy dub

Michael Callahan has the same odds of playing for Boston that a 2024 7th round pick has of playing for Arizona.

Diddly squat.

I voted fair deal.

Callahan wasn't gonna sign in Arizona, good for them to get a pick for him. Boston could've just waited till ufa, but okay.
Small ARZ Win.

That 2024 7th rounder probably won’t sign with Arizona.

But he will sign with Houston.

Fair deal, Boston gets a college player that probably won’t amount to much while Arizona gets a small magic bean couple years down the road

Fair deal; this is probably a nothingburger. Callahan's offensive production dropped like a stone this year, but perhaps he can rediscover it with the Providence Bruins.

Sometimes players in deals like these become really good, like John Marino. Other times they don't, like Nolan Vesey. Which one will Callahan be? Only time will tell.

Fair deal IMO.

Boston gets a local kids they've kept eyes on as he's played in their backyard. 3yr Captain (which is impressive), has a decent shot and could probably be a decent two-way 3rd pairing d-man.

Arizona gets a 7th rounder and while it only has a 10% chance to being a player that plays 99+ games, there was a 0% chance that Callahan was signing.

Problem is every team has a chance of signing him. BOS probably wanted to secure him and not potentially have to pay expensive signing bonuses that perhaps other teams would. Jacobs are probably stingy like that LOL. I voted fair

Need to wait and see but Callahan looked like he could be a bottom pairing Dman in the NHL, maybe more with time.

this is why you don't let NCAA guys go 4 years without a deal.
they couldn't sign him. He walks or they get basically nothing back in a trade.

It QCity gets the Arz team, who moves back West ? Detroit should, they had great rivalry's with the Central teams ( Chi, Col, Dal, StL.)

It'd have to be Detroit. It's the only logical team to move.

Bringing back the Nordiques and moving Detroit to the central would be amazing for the NHL but apparently Bettman won’t put another team in Canada
