Tierney really doesn't do much for us. He's slightly better offensively than Gaudreau, but worse defensively. He's also worse on the dot. Basically this move would be us paying a 5th to free up $1.125 million in cap space (assuming Rask stays in the AHL). As things stand, we have over $7.1 million in cap room today and will have $11.77 million in space at the deadline. We don't need to pay to free up the extra space right now.

Not that he's available, but for arguments sake lets say he is. . . What's a realistic trade for Tkachuk?

i mean realistically there probably isint one. The sens wouldnt move him for futures and i doubt the blues would want to move like kyrou or thomas for him

yah, Kyrou is putting up more points than Brady and his cap hit is 25% of his. We've been dreaming of a Tkachuk, Thomas, Tkachuk line

The Oilers trade is horrible. I wouldn’t trade Holloway or the 1st separately let alone together for Brown. Good player but for that price I’d want Batherson. Which would be a no go of course.

Oilers are not giving up Holloway, plus a 1st rounder for a career 30 point player.

youre completely undervaluing him if youre not trading either for him straight up

His best season is 43 points over 71 games, I’m sorry, has he scored 50 points? I don’t believe a lot of GM’s trade 2 first round picks for “could have” or “should have” “ might have”
Specifically when Holloway ceiling offensively is higher than 30 points like Brown’s first four seasons of 82 & 71 games respectively.
He’s not 50+ point player.

whatever helps you sleep at night man,

also see blake coleman who got foote and a 1st in return, brown is scoring at a better rate than he was before he got traded for those 2 pieces. Sens can also retain 50% on brown to make even more worthwhile

Pens decline. They probably wouldn’t trade Kapanen unless it was in a package for C. brown.

The Blues would be looking for a Parayko top pairing partner. Brown ain't that.

As for the Chiarot "interest" it's probably along these lines...
---
Army (calling MTL): What would Big Ben the penalty taker cost?
MTL: We want a 1st for him.
Army: Call me when you come to your senses and lower that pick by at least two rounds.

(the next morning after an "anonymous" tip)

MTL media: The Blues have serious interest!!!
--

And scene.

Don't think Canucks bite on that Zub trade, think it would have to be JBD

I think if we are moving Boeser it's telling the team we aren't competing now so imho i rather wait a bit and take the kid with the higher celling imho
