If LA really wants to placate their older cup winning core I could see them doing this, but maybe for a 3rd. A 2nd might be too rich even though that’s what detroit paid.

It is a late 2nd and they're getting him cheap. The cap cost is only $2 million which leaves room for further moves.
What about turning it into two 3rd round picks? Or a 4th this year and a 2nd in 2023?

I don't see a team trading a second this year for Leddy. Maybe next years second or a combination of lower picks like a third this year and a fifth next year. Not really sure what the return would be on him, but I would be holding out to get a second.

I would like to see what Moverare can do in Detroit.

He was a captain on Team Sweden U20 and is an extremely responsible defender and a good puck handler. He cleared waivers in October but has now been up 30 days and is eligible for waivers again and can't be sent down, at the same time the Kings have younger prospects they look to have placed above him in the pecking order. I have a gut feeling Jacob would be a good fit in Detroit giving Edvinsson and Johansson time in Grand Rapids to hone their play on small ice.

I'd seriously consider giving a discount on Leddy to get Jacob back.

I don't see LA doing this trade. They have Edler coming back before the season is over and are looking for LD 25 or under. Leddy doesn't fit that.
