habs counter with a 6th for matthews (retained),

no seriously, leafs fans need to read the market. mrazek has negative value. chiarot is worth a 1st at least plus a good prospect. allen gets a 2nd as well. plus its a rival team, so you gotta pay a tax (plekanec deal)

Nope Namestnikov @ $1,000,000 gets a 2022 2nd round pick or you can look elsewhere.

Chiarot is a 1st, not a 1st and a good prospect.

You can say Allen has negative value due to being injured all season as well.

It doesn't take a genius to see Montreal would have much less than zero interest in Mrazek's contract. I'm not even sure they'd want Holl, even though his contract is fine. Even if Montreal doesn't get what they're currently asking for Chiarot (1st or prospect equivalent + another asset close to a 1st in value), which is pretty likely, they'd do a hell of a lot better for Chiarot and Allen than a 5th, a late 1st, a D-man they don't particularly need and a goalie they absolutely don't need even if he wasn't paid what he is with term.

depends on market. technially chiarot is worth a 3rd to 2nd at most, but the market loves players like him,

allen played really well despite the habs being complete trash. he'll fetch a good return because he has 1 more year at a very good number and is a capable back up

You could. It sounds pretty stupid though because that's not how any of this works.

We shall see, But everything i'm seeing is that Yzerman wont accept anything less then a 2nd for Names, Names wants to stay and Yzerman wants to keep him. So he mayn't even get moved.

Last time he was traded his cap cost was $3.25 million, not the $1 million you want him for.

Namestnikov is currently tied (with Raymond) for third on the team in goals scored.

There is no way you'll get Yzerman to give him to you for a 3rd and absolutely not with retention. The retention slot alone can be traded for a 3rd to a team that needs a third party to step in in a trade.

he also only went for a 4th both times and one time went with a retention slot. if the wings want a market for him they have to retain as there's not much cap space to go around. i think a 3rd is fair. namestnikov isn't the type of player you overpay for so it it's a 2nd i think everyone walks.
