Why would the Canucks take that for Pettersson and Garland? Would you accept Pearson, Poolman, Myers, Dickinson, Klimovich, Woo, and Hamonic for Matthews and Nylander?

Kerfoot has more points than Garland so I'd struggle to equate Garland to Nylander unless you also think Kerfoot is at that level.
Matthews has more than double the points that Petterson has so again I'd hardly equate them. So if you are asking if I would trade Nylander and Kerfoot for that package plus two firsts and a second then yes I'd do it in a heartbeat.

The trade is more about buying low on Petterson who is having a down year and is providing nowhere near the value of his contract. And swapping Kerfoot whose putting up points and playing great defense for a player who is more physical and offensive.

Pettersson was struggling at the start of the season because he was still dealing with his wrist injury. He has been back to himself the last ~15 games and the Canucks wouldn’t move him unless it was a significant overpay

Canucks aren’t shopping Pettersson. You’re also giving Canucks 3 salary dumps the Canucks have no need for. That ain’t cutting it
