I doubt they trade him but, if they do, they're trying to get more. All of the guys you listed won't have a ton of trade value - hell, three of them have NTC's so they can just say, "No."

I don't think are wanting to trade him. But it sounds like teams are offering ALOT for him. Meaning they may jump on one of those packages. There is a price to get ANY player in the league, sometimes that price is Ludacris. If someone pays it though, the team would have to move on.

Kane and Maf with retained salaries can get you similar hauls to hagel, I would also be shocked if all of them say no to being traded to a contender

Chicago has no interest in trading Hagel, it's other teams looking to acquire him. Chicago just put out the price it's going to cost a 1st + a Top prospect to scare away teams.

As a Hawks fan, we don't want to trade him. That's why the asking price is so high, since he does so well for us. Most teams usually are hesitant to give up a 1st and a good prospect, but that's the minimum we expect for him.

It's not that they're looking to trade him, it's just that contenders are calling on him because of his cap certainty for 3 seasons. If some team is willing to pay an exuberant amount for him, why not at least listen?

Kane will probably get a top prospect + 1st + 2nd since he'd take whatever team he was on over the top. I also think that'd be a lot easier for GMs to swallow, considering he is a still a PPG player and a former Hart winner that isn't too old.

They are only listening to offers on Hagel. That doesn't mean they want to trade him. But if the right offer is made, I'm sure they will pull the trigger. As far as Toews and Kane go, they both have a full No Move Clause in their contracts. So unless they are the ones to start the conversation about going to another team, it's probably not going to happen. That being said, I wouldn't listen to anything ANY reporter says right now regarding the Blackhawks because it is all speculative. They still don't have a permanent GM in place and therefore they do not have any absolute plans. Although, guys like De Haan, Carpenter, Borgstrom, and Fleury (if he decides he wants to chase one last cup) will probably be traded either way.
