Don't think WPG will blow it up but if they do Caps could make a good offer. I HATE trading away good young players but if Caps are going all out for Ovi these last 4 seasons then go big.

Caps wouldn't do that. Hendrix and Mikey both have a higher ceiling than Ehlers, plus Hellebuyck has had a major down year

I love McM and Lap but I don't have if they have higher ceiling than Ehlers. Ehlers is extremely good and drives play all by himself. He'd be amazing on the Caps and is on a great contract.

Helle might be having a "down" year but he's still a +6GSAA. Behind our defensive system he'd be the best goalie in the league.

Yoiks. That's not an accurate statement. While I would like to keep one of them, Ehlers is head and shoulders above both, and he only just turned 26 a week ago.

Not actually, he can't force the offense to score for him.

As the OP stated, an additional piece would need to be added for Winnipeg to accept.

If the Jets did decide to sell this summer, Hellebuyck and Ehlers probably wouldn't be sold.
