Description

What do you think about trades? Flyers are taking back some bad contracts in Holl, Dermott and Kassian, for which they are compensated with some good picks. Then they also have some expiring contracts in Maatta, Kempny, Jones and Yandle, but Farabee and Couturier's extensions kick in. So in 2022-23 Cap space is around $17 Million with Crouse, Allison, DeBrusk (maybe they dont give him a qualifying offer), Ratcliffe and Sandstrom to sign.

AZ are not buyers lol. They want picks and prospects and they're collecting as many as possible. No way in heck they trade their 1st.

They have three of them right now and maybe more after the deadline. maybe they don't move theirs but it would make sense to move at least one for a roster player but I guess if they are only going to have 5000 seat stadium they don't need any NHL players.

Ya that was silly of me to think that they'd want to ice an actual NHL roster at some point in the last 10 years but if the arena only holds 5000 fans it doesn't really matter.

I guess people don't know how salary retention works, You can only retain on 3 players not 7 players, And seeing that the Flyers are probably in selloff mode them acquiring players like Chychrun and DeBrusk probably isn't happening.

Unless Stone is staying on LTIR until playoffs like Tampa did last year how are they going to get under the cap are they going to trade Smith to a contending playoff team that they could ultimately play against? Would be interested in hearing your solution for their situation?

Ok I thought I was helping the Leafs out because almost every single Leaf trade I see on here involves Leaf fans trying to trade Holl and his contract, Leafs are running out of 2022 draft picks to persuade some to take it so they might have to trade a prospect and they are running a little low on those too. Dubas will figure it out #LeafsNation.
