Rangers say NO THANKS to either of them, they are all Chicago's.

You can only retain on 3 players and you're retaining on 4 players, Patrick Kane @ $5,250,000 gets Alexis Lafreniere plus a 2022 1st round pick and a 2023 2nd round pick. Yet Jonathan Toews gets a cap dump in John Moore and a 2022 1st round pick. So what's wrong with that picture? And Joonas Korpisalo isn't taking no 1 year deal at much less then what he's currently making now.

De Haan and maf contracts expired before he made the toews and Kane trades.
With toews' recent injury history idk if any team would give up a first for him. He's more likely to ltiretire.
I just don't see Kane ever being traded.

Chicago won't sniff Laf in a deal for Kane. Kakko is possible if that money retained stays high, but it would be tough for the Rangers to afford him next year. That's why someone on the last year of their deal like Pavelski makes more sense.
