Just curious to know why Avs fans think they need MAF when they already have Kuemper, if anything maybe get a solid backup, but overpaying for MAF to back Kuemper up doesn't seem logical to me.. Also, giving up Olausson for Chara would be a horrible move, and I don't think Mr Sakic would give away an asset like that for a 6/7th d man...

Avs fans that follow the team arent keen on the idea of adding a goalie. Keumper and Frankie have been doing the job. no need to sell off assets like this ACG suggests

Because Olausson was a 1st round pick last year. Isles would absolutely do this deal, Colorado wouldn't.

OP is a Calgary fan who I'm guessing doesn't follow the Avs very closely. Both of these are about as ugly as they come.

That trade is basically Chara for a 7th and a 4th for Colorado's 1st round pick last year. No way (I mean, I'd love it, but holy cow it's bad.)

MAF also doesn't make sense. I personally think it wouldn't be a bad idea for Colorado to look for a little extra depth in goal - they have no one I'd trust in a playoff game behind Kuemper (not a ton of playoff success) and Francouz (great but made of glass). But I'm thinking more along the lines of throwing out a late round pick for a pending UFA guy like Thomas Greiss or Jaro Halak.

It's a Flames fan it would appear. Hardly ever see an Avs fan on here looking for a G other than prospect or waivers exempt 3G.
