Description
Cutting a lot of the dead weight, and getting back some late round draft picks. Teddy Purcell is just a 1 year, depth forward signing. MacDonald's contract is still too hard to move too much money and term. Lethonen is expensive and average but an improvement over Neuvy, and only signed for a year, should get back a decent pick or two. Also, it's hard to judge the cost of players in picks, so generally I took it as "for this deal to work these are the worst and least picks needed" hopefully we'd get some better deals out of it.

    The circumstances would have to be just right and looking back on it I would say Flyers would have to also retain the 50% of Read's value. My logic here was that Montreal needs to clear cap space to lock up their better RFAs, and Radulov to get one more solid run before they have to decide whether or not to pony up for Price. In hindsight its probably not worth it and we should just try to move Read to Arizona directly but we may not get as big of a return because barring any signings or retained salary he would be their highest paid forward next season. I think our return would be a 5th instead of a 4th and 2 5ths if we move Read directly.
